A program through the Utah Food Bank will provide free after school meals to kids in Uintah County. Free, nutritious meals will be provided at the Uintah County Library starting today. The meals will be available Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 4:30pm in the library teen area. “We are pleased to join a growing number of libraries that partner with the Utah Food Bank to help distribute meals after school to children who may be in need,” shares Uintah County Library Director Sam Passey. “Please visit the library if you are interested in volunteering to help with this project.” While all youth are welcome, the library notes that kids 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult per library policy. The Utah Food Bank will be providing 50 meals daily but that number will adjust based on local response.
