Changes have been made on a state level to the agencies that serve individuals with disabilities. Over the weekend Governor Herbert announced that the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation has officially transferred to the Utah Department of Workforce Services. “This transition will allow USOR to receive improved support for their staff and clients. Employees will be enabled to better address the individual needs of community members and the quality of services offered will be enhanced,” shared Governor Herbert. “I am confident that this new structure will lend to increased innovations and successful outcomes for all involved.” Changes have been ongoing for the past 6 months but the Governor’s announcement makes the transition complete.
