Orange cones and delays are part of summer travel and projects around the Basin are no exception. According to UDOT representative Gemma Puddy, both US-191 projects north of Vernal are on schedule to be complete by mid-August. The work has included removal and replacement of asphalt and chip seal layer on 7 miles of roadway from Red Cloud Loop to the Uintah/Daggett County line. Chip seal encompasses the second project along 9 miles of US-191 from Stauffer Chemical to Red Cloud Loop. Both operations have required one-way traffic using flagging operations during the day but travel impacts have been minimal considering the work being done.
