Uintah School Board to Meet Over Superintendent Contract

The contract of Superintendent Mark Dockins is up for review once again by the Uintah School Board. While no details have been released, the board has conducted an investigation and is obtaining a legal opinion regarding Superintendent Dockins and his conduct. The approval of the contract and expenditures for the investigation and legal review are an action item on Wednesday’s meeting agenda. . In paragraph 8 of the employment contract it states: “the parties may agree to enter into a new contract at the conclusion of this one. The negotiations for a subsequent contract shall commence the October before the year of the contract’s termination, and shall be concluded by the end of December of that year.” Last spring, Superintendent Dockins’ contract was up for consideration by the board. District employees and community members turned out in a significant show of support for the Superintendent at that meeting. This Wednesday’s meeting will be held
