Uintah High Theatre at Work on Spring Production

How do you top an award winning theatre season? Bring in a flying car! Planning for Uintah High Theatre’s spring production has been in the works for months but things have amped up with casting complete this month and the arrival of the play’s most important prop, the flying car. Last June, the group used their Facebook page to announce that their 2017 production will be Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang! To add to the hype, the announcement was made by Dick Van Dyke himself, who played the lead role in the original Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang! movie. Mr. Van Dyke was willing to help Uintah High Theatre make the announcement of the 2017 show via video while sitting in the actual Chitty, Chitty car! Always pushing the limits, Uintah High Theatre won Best Musical in the state last year for their wildly popular production of The Little Mermaid.
