Uintah County Travel and Tourism Honored at Utah SAMY Awards

Uintah County Travel and Tourism were among an elite group honored at the Utah Business 2017 Sales and Marketer of the Year Awards this month. The SAMYs gave out 17 awards, recognizing the sales and marketing of individuals, teams and organizations across the state. Uintah County Travel and Tourism took home the award for Best Content Marketing Campaign for their Vern and Al campaign, competing on a budget of under $100,000 dollars compared to Utah’s multi-million dollar companies. The Vern and Al campaign was marketed using multiple platforms including commercials and features on Pandora, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, KSL, ABC News, a Colorado Rockies Campaign, the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp attended the award banquet last week and presented the plaque to the Uintah County Commission on Monday. “This is not only a travel and tourism award,” says Coltharp, “but an award for the entire county.”
