The Uintah County Commission, meeting as the Redevelopment Agency(RDA), approved a reinvestment project area during last week’s Commission meeting. Details of the Leland Bench Community Reinvestment Project area were unavailable to the public until the project area was approved. The project area is located near the landfill and the general area cuts across Leland Bench road. Uintah County Attorney Jonathan Stearmer explained that this is non-binding on the county and the RDA to move forward but is a necessary step in the statutory process to get the ball rolling to even consider a redevelopment project in the area. Details of the proposed project will be released in the near future.
