Momentum is picking up for this year’s UBIC event. Dozens of people are signing up for
competitions and events every day, shares Duchesne County Chamber Director Irene
Hansen. The UBIC official kickoff was last Friday with golf and softball tournaments and
Saturday was the UBIC Queen pageant. Tonight, activities continue with the baby show,
Mr. UBIC competition and more throughout the week. “Participating in UBIC comes
with a feeling of being a kid again,” shares Hansen. “We’ve been planning for a big party
and you can feel the momentum and excitement as the community is gearing up for a
great week.” Event officials are also anticipating an influx of guests from outside the area
who have called and are eager to attend the concert featuring country band Trick Pony
