Award winning welding students at UBATC have not only paved the way for their own future but contributed to the brightening of the future of UBATC as a whole. UBATC President Aaron Weight announced on Thursday a landmark three-way agreement between UBATC and two industry leaders, NORCO Welding Supply and Miller Electric Manufacturing. When asked why the companies considered UBATC for this venture, both company representatives stated that the industry has taken note of the UBATC students’ domination at national and international skills competitions in the recent months and past year. Jessica Marhefke(Mar-Hef-Kee) of Miller Electric explained that the company desired to work with a school that delivers champions so the best students can be learning on the latest technology equipment to really hit the road running after graduation.  Industry leader NORCO Welding Supply similarly believes in providing bright students with the opportunity to train on state of the art welding equipment so they enter the workforce with the expertise to capture the jobs available. “This partnership is unique,” says NORCO Manager Larry Booth. “Each body adds a piece to the partnership and we all win.”
