Truck Strikes Cyclist on Roosevelt State Street

An accident on Roosevelt’s State Street sent one woman to a Wasatch Front hospital on Monday. According to Roosevelt Police Chief Rick Harrison, a 2008 Ford truck driven by a 67-year-old Roosevelt man was traveling on State Street at about 1:00pm. At this same time, a 65-year-old Roosevelt woman was riding her bicycle traveling north on State Street in the intersection of 200 North. The man attempted to turn onto 200 North from North State Street and the truck struck the cyclist “causing her head and other injuries.” The woman was taken to Uintah Basin Medical Center and was later transported to a Wasatch Front area hospital.
