TriCounty Honors Flu-Shootout Prices

There were plenty of reasons to miss the annual Flu Shoot-Out put on by TriCounty Health last Saturday as many folks were dealing with effects of excessive storm water. The event was still considered a success with the Roosevelt site administering 72 immunizations and the Vernal site administering 123 immunizations for a total of 195. “Having two locations not only helped us serve our communities better but it also gave us a more realistic picture of our capacity to respond during a disease outbreak,” says TriCounty Health Director Jordan Mathis. “We really appreciate the support of UBATC to make this expansion of services possible.” Recognizing that many people could not attend due to the hardships caused by inclement weather, TriCounty Health is honoring the $25 price for the 4-strain flu-shot through October 7th. Vaccination remains free for those with insurance. For more information, call 247-1177.
