Tour of Utah Considering Basin Stop

Utah’s premier racing event may make a stop in the Uintah Basin during the 2017 event. According to Uintah County Commissioner Bill Stringer, Tour of Utah is considering routes that would include eastern Utah roads after organizers were encouraged to check out what the Basin has to offer. “We had a conference call last week and started the process to learn what is involved and what we would need to do,” explains Stringer. “This is a major race so a lot goes into planning but it could showcase our area on a large scale and we could expect a return on our time and investment.” The race is typically held in August of each year.
