Thank You on Behalf of Uintah County Sheriff’s Office

Monday’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was a boost for local law enforcement and local agencies have expressed their appreciation. “We are very fortunate to live in an area that is so supportive of law enforcement,” shares Uintah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Fletcher. “Thank you to all who, not just supported us Monday, but support us every day.” One week ago, community members from Duchesne to Naples tied blue ribbons around their communities as a show of appreciation for law enforcement. Now one week later, the community is asked to help take those blue ribbons down. No need to wait for an assignment. If you see blue ribbons, please take a moment to help the cleanup effort and remove them.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
