Terra Academy Student of the Week

The Terra Academy Students of the Week are Abbey Evans and Hannah McDonald. Abbey Evans is a 7th grade student nominated by Ms. Dalton. “Abbey has an inquisitive, supportive and inclusive nature that makes her an excellent role model for other students,” shares Ms. Dalton. “She consistently puts forth 110 percent effort and is eager to learn.” Congratulations Abbey Evans, Terra Student of the Week! Hannah McDonald is an 11th grader nominated by Mr. Hunt. “Hannah is self motivated and hardworking,” shares Mr. Hunt. “She is dedicated and manages her time very well. She always comes in and immediately gets her supplies out and starts working, often on her own time. When she recognizes someone needs help she jumps right in and lends a hand.” Congratulations Hannah McDonald, Terra Student of the Week!

Kristin Baldwin

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
