Could you read 100 books in 6 weeks? Probably depends on which books. How about 100 chapters of books? Every year the Uintah County Library celebrates the birthday of the unforgettable Dr. Seuss and have issued a challenge this year along with the Uintah County Literacy Commission in advance of his birthday on March 2nd. For every 25 books or chapters that an individual reads, they will receive a ticket for a chance to win one of several grand prizes. “Read to your children and encourage them to read aloud for twenty minutes each day to build their vocabulary and get them off to a great start in life,” shares Library Director Sam Passey. “Those who read succeed!” Reading logs can be picked up at the library and need to be returned on March 2nd between 3:00 and 5:00pm. You’ll also need to pick up tickets to attend the Dr. Seuss birthday party that night.
