Suspect in Ute Reservation Shooting Arrested; Victim Dies

The suspect wanted for a shooting on the Ute Reservation that took place on Thursday has been arrested. According to FBI representative Sanda Barker, the FBI, along with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a shooting that took place around 7:45pm on June 7th outside a residence east of Randlett on the Uintah & Ouray Indian Reservation. The victim, 24-year-old Julio Rodriguez, was flown to a hospital and died the next day on June 8th. Rodriguez is from West Wendover, Nevada.  22-year-old Brandon Redfoot was arrested on tribal charges. The investigation is ongoing.
