SR-45 Bridge Construction

Work is ongoing on SR-45 where UDOT is building a bridge to solve the issue of the eroding roadway. According to the UDOT Region 3 Team, several options were considered to address the erosion including realigning SR-45 and constructing a bypass. “UDOT ultimately determined that a bridge would be the most efficient and cost-effective solution.” Funding the project has been a joint effort between UDOT and American Gilsonite Company. The Utah Transportation Commission approved $1.8 million dollars to fund the bridge and the roadway is expected to reopen by the end of the year. Drivers in the area are asked to use the existing detour route along Little Bonanza Road. For more information, call 1-888-528-9675.
