Spring cleaning goes beyond scrubbing baseboards and cleaning windows. The Downtown Revitalization Committee is inviting any and all to participate in the second annual downtown Vernal clean up day coming up next week. The plan is to help beautify downtown to make it a great place to visit during the Dinah-Soar days scheduled the next weekend. Some of the projects include painting the existing bike racks with color to make them more visible and easy to find. The effort will also include cleaning out the flower planters, picking up trash, pulling weeds, sweeping sidewalks, and cleaning windows on some of the vacant buildings. “We want to make sure our downtown stays beautiful and we want to see people walking and riding their bikes downtown,” shares Committee Chairman Pete Morphy. “There are a lot of wonderful people and businesses downtown who take pride in our town. Anyone in the community is invited to come help and volunteer for the cleanup day.” Volunteers are asked to meet at Cobble Rock Park at 2:00pm on Friday, May 4th. The cleanup is expected to go until about 5:00pm depending on the number of volunteers that come to help.
