Mother nature joined the Outlaw Trail Theater stage crew for Tuesday’s performance of Singin’ in the Rain, providing scenic lightning in the background for the show’s signature number. Crowds have loved this year’s production of the iconic musical that includes all the dancing and music from the famous movie. “The cast is absolutely amazing,” shares show Director and Choreographer Taunia Wheeler. “Some kids had never done a shuffle step before and then to pull off the choreography the way I wanted it to come across just exceeded all my expectations. It’s that work ethic that I love and the show and all the cast are just wonderful.” Another fun aspect of the show is that the first few rows are considered the splash zone as sprinklers mounted above the set literally make it rain to end Act 1. The show runs through July 1st with Wednesdays and Sundays off. Wednesday nights come see the knee slapping melodrama Showtime on the Showboat! Or Don’t Throw Garbage in the River. Tickets for all shows are available through www.outlawtrailtheater.com or at the box office before the show.
