Sign Up to be Santa’s Helper!

There’s plenty of ways to be Santa’s helper this holiday season. In Vernal, the Rotary Club is once again spearheading Santa’s Community Effort to get gift donations in the hands of kids who may have very little under the tree this year. Trees are on display at Walmart and Davis Food and Drug in Vernal with the gender, age and gift ideas for local children on each paper ornament. Applications are also still being accepted through Friday, December 9th, if you have a child that would benefit from being on the receiving end. Applications are available at Davis Food & Drug. For those that take a tag from the tree, be sure to attach the tag to your gift donation and follow the drop off instructions included on the tag. Duchesne County’s Sub for Santa program is also going on through the Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce. Applications are available at the Crossroads Senior and Community Center through Friday, December 9th.

Kristin Baldwin

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
