There’s plenty of ways to be Santa’s helper this holiday season. In Vernal, the Rotary Club is once again spearheading Santa’s Community Effort to get gift donations in the hands of kids who may have very little under the tree this year. Trees are on display at Walmart and Davis Food and Drug in Vernal with the gender, age and gift ideas for local children on each paper ornament. Applications are also still being accepted

, if you have a child that would benefit from being on the receiving end. Applications are available at Davis Food & Drug. For those that take a tag from the tree, be sure to attach the tag to your gift donation and follow the drop off instructions included on the tag. Duchesne County’s Sub for Santa program is also going on through the Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce. Applications are available at the Crossroads Senior and Community Center
