Semi Fire on Highway 40 in Fort Duchesne

Flames engulfed a semi
on Wednesday afternoon
on Highway 40 in the Fort Duchesne area. According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Brett Gehring, a double tanker semi was traveling eastbound at Mile Marker 121 near the light at Fort Duchesne a little after
3:30pm
when an axle came off and the back trailer overturned on the highway. The tankers were fully engulfed in fire and the area was closed down because of the fire and the slick road conditions caused by the spilled condensate. All traffic was diverted from the highway as crews were on sight for cleanup. No one was reported as injured in the accident.
