Semi Driver Dies on Colorado Pass

Thankfully winter hasn’t hit the Basin but that doesn’t mean safety shouldn’t be top priority when traveling. Several passes in nearby Colorado have had winter conditions resulting already in many accidents and even one fatality on Monday morning. A semi carrying powdered cement lost control due to slick, icy conditions while traveling Highway 40 over Rabbit Ears Pass. The driver was tragically killed in the resulting crash. Highway 40 was closed as the accident was cleared and investigators did their job.
