Secure Items While on the Hunt

By all reports, the 2016 general deer hunt is a success so far. Theft on the mountain is one sure way, however, to have the experience ruined. Uintah County Sheriff Vance Norton is urging all hunters and families on the mountain to be cautious and always secure property. “On the mountain make sure you are locking you campers,” shares Sheriff Norton. “Don’t keep generators outside or be sure to lock them down with a chain. We are having a lot of theft [on the mountain].” Sheriff Norton also reminds those adventuring in the great outdoors to always have a cell phone and the resources to keep it charged so if any issues arise, help can quickly be on its way.
