The search for the missing fisherman on Flaming Gorge resumed on Wednesday. On January 20th, the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office received report of a vehicle at the boat ramp at Cedar Springs Marina left running with no occupant or owner in the vicinity. The truck was backed up with its boat trailer in the water and the boat was loose in the water. The man, identified as 59-year-old Phil Sabey of Lyman, Wyoming, was presumed drowned and search and rescue efforts got underway. The search was suspended on January 23rd due to inclement weather and underwater equipment complications.  Search efforts were on and off but fully resumed on Wednesday. Local agencies were joined by the Summit County Search and Rescue and the Utah Department of Public Safety. Captain Chris Collett of the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office said the search was unsuccessful today and will continue as resources are available.
