Three seats on the Uintah School District’s Board of Education are up for election in November and will appear on the ballots within applicable precincts. In District #1, voters in the Davis, Jensen, and Naples precincts will choose between Harlan “Scoot” Wilkins and Lori Gillman. In District #2, voters in the Ashley and several Vernal precincts will choose between Dave W. Chivers and incumbent candidate Kevin Dickson. In District #3, voters in the Glines, Maeser, and a Vernal precinct will choose between Robin McClellan and incumbent Mark Caldwell. Newstalk KVEL has invited each candidate to participate in a Meet the Candidate forum that will take place
October 15th
, 16th, and 17th
from 5 to 7pm
. Each candidate will be interviewed individually in 30 minute segments. A special interview will also take place
on October 12th
during which Uintah School District Business Administrator Derek Anderson has been invited to the Newstalk KVEL studio to discuss the district budget.
