Runners for a Cause Completing 186 Mile Segment in Vernal

186 miles. That is how many miles Kristina “Fireball” Myint and Courtney James Kruse are running as part of the MS Run the US, Incorporated ultra relay. It is a run dedicated to raising awareness and support of multiple sclerosis (MS) research. The funds will also aid those that are living with disabilities caused by MS. The relay has 19 individual segments that stretch from Los Angeles to New York City, close to 3,260 miles. Kristina and Courtney ran from Nephi and will finish their segment, segment five, at Ashley Regional Medical Center today. The Vernal Chamber of Commerce have cancelled their weekly meeting to support the runners arrival and the general public is invited to come cheer them along as well. Everyone is invited to meet at Ashley Regional at 11:30 with the event going until 12:30pm. Not only do the runners average 186 miles per segment, they commit to raising $10,000 dollars for the cause.
