Who said you have to travel to the big city for an opportunity to enjoy Cosplay? For the second year, the Roosevelt City Library is hosting a Fandom party where cosplay is the name of the game. The event is expected to be bigger and better than last year’s successful launch. There will be vendors coming, things for people to buy, stand ups of favorite characters from Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Lord of the Rings just to name a few. “People can come in costume and the staff always dresses up,” shares library employee Janessa Haslem. The Roosevelt Library hosts a wide variety of parties for the community on a monthly basis and even though this is only the second year for the Fandom party, it has quickly grown to one of the most popular. Rumor has it items from Salt Lake’s Comic Con will be used and on display as well and a group of Cosplay players are planning to be in attendance. The party will be held
October 7th from 1 to 3pm
at the Grace Event Center and cosplay is encouraged but not required.
