Roosevelt City Welcomes Public Comment on 2018-2019 Budget

Roosevelt City is now accepting public comments on the proposed 2018-2019 fiscal year budget. The May Roosevelt City Bulletin reports that “highlights from the proposed budget include an anticipated revenue increase of 2.5 percent in most funds, with an anticipated expenditure increase of 1.5 percent. Sales tax revenues are expected to go up by five percent due to our recovering local economy. Other tax revenues are expected to follow a similar trend.” A list of expected capital projects include: $3,354,500 dollars for an airport runway renovation, $500,000 dollars for utility improvements, $200,000 dollars for the city’s master plan, and $110, 000 dollars for the Cottonwood Creek Path project.
