Roosevelt City Public Works on Snow Management

by | Dec 12, 2016 | News | 0 comments

The snow has arrived and Roosevelt City is asking citizens to follow some tips to help out Public Works as they clear streets this winter. When possible, park in your driveway. “When plowing snow, it can pile up against your car door,” shares the Roosevelt City announcement. “A plow could possibly slide into your car that is parked on the street,” among other possibilities. Citizens are also asked to avoid pushing snow into the middle of the street. Instead, push snow onto your lawn and median strips. When snow is pushed into the road it freezes and becomes an obstacle for traffic. Finally, be sure to remove garbage cans from the street.
