Roosevelt Aquatic Center Explore Additional Family Swim Time

Since opening last spring, the Roosevelt Aquatic Center has added new life to the community, especially during the long winter months. According to Aquatic Center Director Edwin Butterfield, the fitness opportunities are currently the most popular times at the facility with many people following through on their New Year’s resolutions. That said, there is still a great response to the recreation swim times. “We couldn’t believe how many people came through over the Christmas break and then on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,” says Butterfield. “When kids are out of school and in town, a lot of people utilize the pool and love the inflatables.” Currently, administration is working on the spring schedule that will begin in March and additional family swim times are being considered. “We are trying to work around what the public really wants,” shares Butterfield. “They have been amazing to work with on this new adventure.”
