An expansion of the Rock Point Cemetery in Uintah County was approved during
Monday’s
Uintah County Commission meeting. County Surveyor John Slaugh presented the final plat of Rock Point Cemetery’s phase 2 expansion, noting that phase 1 is now full. All sites in phase 1 of the Rock Point Cemetery have been purchased. Phase 2 is a 2.4 acre addition that will hold 930 burial plots. During discussion it was also brought up that there is a total of 17 acres available for expansion but that the 2.4 acre section for phase 2 is already groomed and ready. Rock Point Cemetery is on 2500 West near the mouth of Taylor Mountain Road. Those interested in the plots now available in Rock Point Cemetery should contact Uintah County.
