The Uintah County Republican Party Central Committee is now accepting applications for the Commissioner A seat that will soon be vacant. Uintah County Commissioner Mike McKee announced his resignation from the Commission on February 8th after accepting a position as the Executive Director of the 7 County Infrastructure Coalition. Because McKee is a registered Republican, the Uintah County Republican Party Central Committee is tasked with the job of submitting the name of one person to be appointed as an interim replacement to fill the vacant office. “This person will be selected in accordance with party bylaws and must be a registered Republican who supports the Uintah County Republican platform,” shares the Committee. “Those interested in the appointment should be aware that the office of Commissioner is a full-time position that requires frequent travel and evening meetings.” Those interested in applying can submit a Letter of Interest with a resume by email to

UintahCountyGOP@gmail.com

. Letters must be received no later than 12:00pm on March 1st.
