The Uintah Transportation Special Service District has been reviewing bids for repair on a section of Aggie Blvd near the college campuses. According Chairman of the Uintah Transportation Special Service District Duane Shepherd, cracks in the road north of the Aggie bull statue were spotted, indicating water leaking beneath the roadway. “We will have to put in a whole new line,” shares Shepherd. “Crews will drill underneath the road and connect the water line with an irrigation line in a neighboring field.” The Transportation District planned to review bids ranging from $78,000 dollars to $212,000 dollars early this week. The Transportation District will handle the project jointly with Uintah County and Vernal City.
