The hard working ladies of the Uintah County Regional History Center were on hand at the Uintah County Library
on Tuesday night
for their latest book signing event.
Gilsonite Country
was written by the Uintah County Regional History Center staff and features events, stories and experiences that the rare mineral gilsonite has had to the area. Since it is not mined commercially anywhere else in the world, the mining of the mineral has had a huge impact on the Basin and the lives of those involved. Read the stories of those who have been involved with the gilsonite mining communities.
Gilsonite Country
can be purchased at the Uintah County Heritage Museum or at the Uintah County Regional History Center.
