Public Comment Welcome on Duchesne County Resource Management Plan

The Duchesne County Resource Management Plan and update is now open for public comment. The plan is aimed at establishing guidelines for planning efforts within the County and was developed by gathering ideas and information from a diverse group of County residents. While Duchesne County has had a general plan for much longer, in 2015 state law made new requirements of Counties to include a resource management plan for public lands. The new law also required public participation in preparing the plan which Duchesne County has fulfilled in the form of public meetings. With the overarching theme to maintain the County’s rural lifestyle and character, the draft is now complete and citizens are invited to read it through and provide their feedback.
