Power Upgrade to Duchesne County Fairgrounds

The Duchesne County Fair is right around the corner and the Duchesne County Commission is doing their part to ensure the fairgrounds are up and ready to go. In July, Building and Grounds Director Shane Jenkins explained to the Commission that there is a 200 amp service at the fairgrounds and he presented a bid from Mike Frandsen in the amount of $6,905 dollars to upgrade the power. The Commission unanimously approved the bid for a power upgrade to the fairgrounds. Also this summer, the Duchesne County Commission approved the purchase of a stage for use on the rodeo grounds and inside the event center to be used throughout the year. The Commission approved the purchase in June and the county investigated whether to have a stage built or to purchase a stage outright. The decision was made to have it built with the help of the the Duchesne County Jail inmates building trades program. This year’s Duchesne County Fair will run from August 8th through the 13th.
