Uintah County is letting voters know of a possible delay in the deliver of the June Primary ballots. According to the announcement, the Vernal Post Office had still not received the ballots as of Monday afternoon. The Clerk Auditors Office still expects the ballots to be in voters’ hands by June 15th but wanted to alert the public of the current situation as, at least for now, it’s unknown where the ballots are at en route to Vernal. Once ballots are received, voters are encouraged to return them by mail right away and remember that the envelope must be postmarked by June 25th or brought to the Uintah County Clerk’s Office by 8pm on June 26th, the day of the Primary Election.
