Police Chase Ends in Arrests

A man who fled from police in a stolen vehicle and was eventually caught near Rangely was arrested on multiple charges last week. 22-year-old David Morgan was traveling between Meeker and Rangely when a Sheriff’s officer spotted him in a pickup which matched the description of a stolen vehicle. Morgan refused to pull over and a chase began towards Rangely. The pursuit ended when officers were able to disable the truck by deploying spike strips, shares a KRAI report. Morgan and the 18-year-old female passenger in his car were arrested. Morgan has been charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Vehicular Eluding, Reckless Endangerment, and Reckless Driving. The 18-year-old passenger was arrested for theft, 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
