Plans for Roosevelt Winterfest in the Works

The chill in the air and a blanket of snow can’t stop the Roosevelt community from coming together and warming up with friendship and activities. Plans for the 2017 Roosevelt Winterfest are in the works. Held almost one year ago, the 2016 Winterfest was a huge success with a variety of classes, including skiing. The event began several years ago with the vision of local dentist, Dr. Doug Ogden, who is an avid cross country skier. Dr. Ogden wanted to see a winter activity in Roosevelt and the Winterfest came to life initially starting with just cross country skiing. Other activities have been added and the event has a health and wellness focus. The 2017 Roosevelt Winterfest is scheduled for January 20th and 21st. Activities will depend on the weather but are expected to include sledding, cross country skiing, art, photography, and more.
