Open House Meetings to Explore Uintah County’s General Plan

If you’d like a say in the future of Uintah County, an opportunity to get involved has presented itself. Uintah County has partnered with Rural Community Consultants as they work to update the County’s General Plan. “The General Plan deals with issues that affect each of our daily lives; issues such as zoning and land use, economic development, housing, infrastructure, transportation and public lands issues,” shares County Community Development Director Matt Cazier. “Now is the time for County residents to give their input on the future of Uintah County.” To start, a survey can be taken now at

Citizens are also urged to participate in a public open house meeting.  The first will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, at the Eagle View Elementary Auditorium in Fort Duchesne from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The second will be held at the Uintah County Conference Center in Vernal from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, November 10th.
