Open House for Uintah County Wayfinding System

Last year feedback from an expert on tourism and economic development evaluated the Vernal area. He made many recommendations, one of which was a wayfinding system. In response, 8 local entities including Uintah County, Naples City, Ballard City, Vernal City, Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce, Uintah Recreation District, Uintah County Tourism and the Uintah Transportation Special Service District have joined together to address the issue. The wayfinding system will provide uniform signage throughout the County to direct residents and visitors to points of interest, recreation locations and public buildings. An open invitation is made to all residents to come to the open house to review the designs of the county-wide wayfinding system.  “We want to hear resident’s views regarding the draft design of the branding and signage,” shares City Manager Quinn Bennion. “Your participation and views are appreciated and beneficial as the Boards, Councils, and Commissions review the Wayfinding Master Plan in the upcoming months.” The open house will be
Thursday, November 15th, from 4:30-6:30pm
in the Conference Room of the Uintah Community Center at
610 South Vernal Avenue
.
