Numbers are up for the Duchesne County Fair Livestock show. According to 4-H Extension Coordinator Troy Cooper, there are 315 livestock exhibitors made up of 46 market beef, 117 market lambs, and 170 market hogs. In 2015, there were just slightly less market beef and market lamb but this year there are 55 more market hogs which is a huge jump. The livestock market opened to the public on Wednesday afternoon with the auction taking place today(Thursday). Cooper says the 4-H exhibits have also seen an increase this year. There are over 800 projects submitted by 161 participants currently on display in the exhibit hall. The 4-H exhibits will be open to the public today between 2:00 and 8:00pm tonight.
