TriCounty Health Department is reassuring the community that they have no reason to believe that the protected health information of any community members has been compromised. “Protecting individuals’ private information is a responsibility we take very seriously at TriCounty,” shares Director Jordan Mathis. The announcement was made after concerned community members contacted the health department upon learning of an ongoing criminal investigation involving a former TriCounty Health Department employee who has been charged with wiretapping. Court documents show that 42-year-old Gregory Walker, charged with 3rd Degree Felony Wiretapping or Intercepting Electronic Communications, made his initial appearance in 8th District Court on August 22nd where he was advised of the charges. Available court documents offer little information on the nature of the alleged crime that is listed to have taken place on or about August 17, 2014, in Uintah County.
