Students aren’t the only ones eager to get a peek at the new Union High School. Members of the public hoping to get their chance to see the school in person will have their chance next week. Duchesne County School District is hosting an Open House at the new Union High School on Wednesday. The new school has space for 1500 students in order to accommodate growth into the future. The $81 million dollar project has a plethora of special features. The school’s auditorium seats 1,600 people. There are extra classrooms and the building is equipped with low maintenance flooring and hardware. The new football field even has the same turf as used on the Washington Redskins new field. The high school also includes two gymnasiums that are split by a breezeway so that spectators can watch and enjoy two games at once. Take the chance to see the features for yourself at the open house on August 15th from 5 to 7pm. All are invited to attend.
