New Shows for a New Year at Vernal Theatre: LIVE

On the heels of a successful launch in 2016, Vernal Theatre: LIVE is starting 2017 with shows the community will love. The theatre’s next show,Charley’s Aunt, is a comedy for all ages. “The show is coming along great,” shares Director Nashelle Jackson. “The cast is having a lot of fun and can’t wait for an audience.” The show will run January 13th through the 21st.  Auditions for the theatre’s February show, Little Women, will be held this Thursday and Friday and the show’s Director is hoping for a big turnout. “People know the story of Little Women but don’t necessarily know the musical,” shares the show’s Director, Jennifer Curtis. “The music has a way of adding depth to the characters and bringing life and added humor to the story.” Auditions for men and women ages 16 and older will be held Thursday and Friday at the theatre from 6:30 to 8:30pm. “I don’t know many people and I’m excited to see what talent is out there,” says Curtis. “I’m hoping people come out that we’ve never heard or seen before and I know we’ll find the perfect cast for this amazing show.” Those auditioning need to come prepared to sing 16 to 32 measures of any song that highlights your abilities. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU.
