New BLM Utah State Director Announced

The Bureau of Land Management announced on Wednesday the appointment of a new BLM Utah State Director. Veteran BLM manager Edwin Roberson is transferring to the Utah position based in Salt Lake City from Denver where he served as Director of the BLM National Operations Center. Roberson has 37 years of experience working for the BLM and has held senior level positions in Washington, D.C. Now in Utah, Roberson will direct the BLM team that administers 23 million acres of public lands and 32 million acres of minerals and energy resources in Utah.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
