Musical Comedy ‘Nunsense’ Opens Tonight at Vernal: Theatre: LIVE

These ain't your usual singing nuns! Nunsense, a musical comedy, opens tonight at Vernal Theatre: LIVE. Nunsense features ‘a hilarious talent show staged by five survivors of the Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery. The high energy talent of Taunia Wheeler, Claire Owens, Nashelle Jackson, Carrie Chapman, and Cami Harrison make up the cast of spunky nuns. Tonight’s show is fulfillment of one cast member’s dream, as Claire Owens has wanted to be in this show for the last 19 years. “It has been so fun getting to be part of a tight knit group of women who get to be silly and let loose,” shares Claire. “Nunsense is a show that makes you laugh until your guts hurt! But it has moments that will make you feel all of the feels.” Claire says she has also loved dressing the part, joking that a habit is the most forgiving costume ever, though a bit constricting around the noggin. Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
