Mountain View High School Stabbing

A 16-year-old boy is in custody after allegedly stabbing 5 of his classmates at Mountain View High School in Orem on Tuesday. The attack reportedly happened in the locker room where he attacked 5 students with a knife before turning it on himself. Some of the students remain in critical condition but the suspect was discharged from the hospital and is now in police custody.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
