A Moffat County man, allegedly enroute to kidnap a teen girl, was arrested last week by Wisconsin law enforcement. 22-year-old Curtis Bowser faces charges of Possession of Child Pornography, Child Enticement, and Attempted Abduction of a Child. According to the Wisconsin Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation revealed that Bowser was actually on his way from Colorado to Wisconsin with the intent to take the teen girl away from her parents and it was the quick action of the investigating team that saved her from being abducted. According to a Fox21News report, Bowser and the 16-year-old girl had been interacting online and then through sexually explicit text messages in which Bowser messaged, “I will promise you that I am going to kidnap you.” Wisconsin law enforcement actually apprehended Bowser after tracking down his car as it was nearing the girl’s home in Wisconsin. Bowser is due in court
on October 19th.
