7 months of gathering shoes sure adds up! Miss Uintah Basin 2016 Marinn Pearson rented the biggest Uhaul moving truck available in Vernal over the weekend and filled it completely full of shoe donations. The shoes are shipped to communities in Africa in need. JCS Construction donated space for Marinn to keep the shoe donations as she gathered them since last summer. “The Basin gave me 9,930 pounds of shoes! How amazing is that?!” shared Marinn. “Dropping them off, I just felt good all over. I knew I had done the best I could to collect shoes and I knew the Basin had given me the most shoes any other girl has collected. Having that entire Uhaul full really shocked everyone there who dropped off shoes so I knew that the Basin has definitely impressed many people just with the amount of shoes donated. I just feel so full of gratitude and love!” Marinn also thanked JCS Construction for their help and support for such a great cause.
